Why do we need to transform the food system?
“A sustainable food system is vital for everyone – it is a prerequisite for food to be enough for the world’s population, and not least a fair distribution of resources. And we have to be smart when the amount of arable land is disappearing at the rate it is and when climate change is making it too hot and dry in some places on earth to grow crops at all.
Regardless of whether you think about your own health, want high-quality ingredients and care about taste, or whether you care about the climate, the way there is the same – a sustainable food system.
I choose locally produced food, organic from small-scale producers as far as possible, because I want to support them, for the climate, but also because I then get the tastiest and most nutritious food!”
